We go at least once a month and pretty much order the same stuff. The food is good and more importantly consistent. Service is ok - they are almost always crowded and very busy. But they seem to be well organized where it counts. I think they use a little excess MSG, but their Thai is the best in London.

I have read some of the bad reviews here and have to believe it was just an off day. I go here about 3 times per month and never had terrible service. Food is always tasty and reasonable.

I usually avoid Asian restaurants that try to cover too wide a range of ethnicity. Pho Ben Thanh blew away my scepticism. Thai satay was fragrant with lemongrass. Vietnamese main courses terrific. And when someone describes a meal as "asian fajitas" my expectations are low, but the rice paper wraps were fun, with a nice garnish of vegetables to roll in with the meat and vermicelli. A return visit is necessary to sample the pad thai.

Amazing food: perfectly fresh, perfectly cooked...

Amazing food: perfectly fresh, perfectly cooked, perfectly spiced. Our server was helping another table unfamiliar with the menu options, and so service was less wonderful than the food. Also, our server was "slammed" with too many tables when the rest of the restaurant was not full, so she did her best. Our visit was to the newer location at 1070 Wellington Road S, at Bradley. We'll be back.

Ben Thanh's has a sign posted, "If your friends have not recommended us yet, then maybe you need new friends". They couldn't be more correct. Ben Thanh's is a no BS Thai and Vietnamese restaurant. All their food is great and they have a delicious assortment of fruit smoothies that will put those of any cafe or smoothy joint to shame. Reccomended: Beef Pad Thai (422D on the order sheet.. a number you will not forget!) Also, try a smoothie... Bananna, Kiwi, Avocado are among my favourites but each and every one is delicious.
