Best fish ever!

Although they're famous for their chicken, we'll be going back for their fish (and maybe try the chicken for my 'no way I'm eating fish' husband). My son and I were looking for a quick bite for lunch after doing some shopping at the nearby Scholars Choice and found this place. Smelled soo good. As we didn't see a lot of prices or labels, my son ordered the Portuguese sausage sandwich and I lingered over the windows filled with mountains of fish, rice, potatoes and was served by a very pleasant and helpful young man. I asked about a particular dish and ended up ordering the amazing looking and super delicious cod with a side of potatoes, The server put two layers of potatoes in a good sized container, covered it with the huge portion of cod and then he began spooning a loving amount of the yummy sauce over the dish. As it really isn't a sit down place, we were hungry and ate there. I paid less than $20 and was in heaven. My son enjoyed his sausage but will definitely order the cod next time. Was surprised to read about 'grumpy' servers. Ours even thanked us for coming on our way out. Maybe because it was in the early Friday afternoon, we saw that customers were served quickly (looked like they ordered huge quantities ahead) and courteously. Definitely going back for that cod. Pssst...I overhead the guy tell someone its only available Fridays and Saturdays.

Burnt Food served with slowly with attitude

I felt like trying something different than the usual two weeks ago. What a mistake! After waiting over 40mins I dared ask what was taking so long to make some grilled chicken? In a loud aggressive tone I was told I should have called in first. Well I realize this isn't fast food, but come on... take out shouldn't take this long! Nor should I be disrespected! So when I finally brought the food home, I found the chicken dry, overly "well done" i.e. burnt. There's no sense going back.

Wings, Rice and Potatoes

Well, I must asy the food was excellent. The rice is terrific and those small potatoes are great. The wings are fresh and tasty. For $10 taxes included the portion size is big and filling.

Awesome Food, Good Service!

The best meal in Brampton! I crave it all the time. Excellent fresh tasting food, fabulous smell... freshly cooked rice, potatoes, etc. always get the portugese chicken meals... 1/2 order, or whole chicken for the family. They do catering too so it's great for when guests come over and you dont want to cook.... Perfectly fresh all the time. Wonderful taste and great value for your money!

Bram-Bram's Best Chicken

This place has been here forever. It was here before the churrasquiera craze hit the City and will likely be here long after. The chicken here is definitely the best around. The sides are good also but the chicken is the star. Chilliheads will be a bit disappointed because "extra spicy" means they coat the bird with a gloppy, non hot sauce that detracts from the original taste. This might be one of those times you forego the heat and go for the flavour. And this bird has flavour. The hot table sides are great, especially the fish when it is available. Get here early because things tend to sell out. This place is popular with the locals. The service is fine for a fast food joint, the old guy is a bit rough around the edges but I've never felt insulted. He's not quite the Chicken Nazi . . .yet. The daughter (in-law?) is a sweetheart in comparison.
