Peters DriveIn is aaward winning takeout. The sauce on the hamburgers is really tasty. A great family experience with affordable food. We definitely will come again!

We were shocked at the price increases, which you don't really know until you are in the drive through line. This is a pick-up restaurant, not sit down, so no service provided. The line-up to get a drive through order is way longer than other fast food options now. the burger is only average taste, even though large. A milkshake destroys any days caloric intake. For the extended wait to get served and the prices it is no longer a regular option when going out for a quick pick-up.

You can never go wrong with one of their milkshakes. Easily one of the best things about Calgary. Simple food and great service.

I have been going...

I have been going to Peter's Drive In since i was a kid in the 80s. And im so sad to say in the past couple years it has gone so far downhill. So disappointing! The quality and taste has just gone down so far, i doubt it can ever be saved again. On top of that the woman i dealt with there actually argued that i didnt want large fries! Are you kidding me? How does she think she knows what i want more than i do? Besides that the milkshakes have become very very bland. It is truly a crying shame that a place that used to be so good and so top notch has become a cheap low quality establishment. Id rather go to Wendy's now and I wouldnt have to drive an hour to go there either. Please make it the same as it once was!

Far out French fries in Calgary

Far out French fries in Calgary

In accordance with old-school, drive-in style, Peters’ fries are served in big boxes, meant to be shared (it takes a large family to get through a “family size” order). While not the crispiest in town, there’s a nostalgic je ne sais quoi about Peters’ fries, and they taste even better if you eat them on the picnic benches in the iconic drive-in’s parking lot.

Where to find magnificent milkshakes in Calgary

A beloved drive-though burger joint that also features walkup windows, Peters’ Drive-In is located just west of the busy intersection of 16th Avenue Northwest and Edmonton Trail. Patrons often pair a burger and a massive order of fries with an ultra-thick Peters’ shake. Served large or small, you’re welcome to mix flavours that include vanilla, butterscotch, pineapple and toasted marshmallow.

Take a bite of these beautiful Calgary burgers

This drive-through fast-food factory on the Trans Canada Highway makes burgers that Calgarians have come to know and love over literal generations. Custom-baked buns hide flame-broiled beef patties doused in house-made barbecue sauce. Pair with a shake and fries.
