I took my husband out for dinner last night, to celebrate his birthday. It was our first visit to David's and we were both impressed. First, I want to commend the great service we received. We were looked after in a timely, and polite manor. Our server was helpful and knowledgeable about the menu and wines. We only ordered entrees, as we aren't big eaters and find restaurant portions fill us quickly. He ordered the chicken and wow -- the bacon sauce was fantastic. I kept trying to steal it of his plate. I ordered the filet mignon, and it was cooked to perfection. My gnocchi was light and tasty. But I will say that my sauce was a little bland in comparison to the bacon sauce. Not that there was anything wrong with my balsalmic/tarragon jus/with onions, it was good, but the bacon sauce would beat just about anything hands down. My only constructive criticism would be that the pink/red walls are a little jarring and the awning out front could use a wash (covered in bird droppings). So yeah - not much to complain about. We'd definitely go again, and wouldn't hesitate to recommend others try it out. Read more

I get lunch at Nooners several times a week and have done so for at least 10 years (usually take-out). The food is always delicious - very fresh and homemade. Their soups and sandwiches are especially good (and the cookies....). I find the staff are always friendly, know regular customers by name (and their usual orders) and are very efficient despite the large number of people who are there for lunch every day. I do not think there is a lunch place anywhere else in London that can match Nooners for quality, speed and value. Read more

Lots and lots of options for rolls, doesn't stick to the bog standard, which seems to be one of the biggest issues for every other sushi restaurant in London. Creative and delicious combinations. (The deal is 3 veggies/1 cheese/1 protein). And add sunflower seeds or croutons and dressing of your choice. I love it cuz I can customize the salad to what I want and not a set combination. Last night we decided to go out and try a restaurant we had never been to before. My husband said he felt like Indian food so we decided to try Curry's. What an enjoyable experience! Starting off we were presented with refreshing lime water, the decor was very classy with low lighting and Indian music faintly playing in the background. Our candlelit table was soon laden with scrumptious food starting with an appetizer called Onion Bhaji, six pieces of shredded onion breaded with spiced chickpea batter. Since we follow a vegetarian diet, we decided upon Vegetable Tandoori Masala as our main course. The spicy curry tomato was paired with fresh hot green chillies, spices and vegetable pllao creating an authentic Indian flavor. "Best curry I have ever tasted" was my husbands comment. Our waiter was very polite and attentive and filled out stainless water glasses on numerous occasions with a smile. I would highly recommend Curry's Restaurant for anyone looking for high quality Indian fare served in a fine dining setting. Read more
