Great and authentic indian tiffin service. The proprietor is extremely courteous, understanding, friendly and relates personally to various situations. The tiffin service is great and is 'value for money.' I only take the tiffin service from him but plan to visit the restaurant soon which i think will fully come up to my expectations. Keep up the good work Rajiv and all the best for your future endeavours. YS
I celebrated my daughter's first birthday at this restaurant and can't THANK enough to Rajiv and team for the memorable experience and wonderful hospitality. While you may find a lot of restaurants , the USP for me was the personal attention and customisation with a BIG Smile. Hope to have lot more celebrations and party at Bombay restaurant - I strongly recommend this to every one out there.
It was delish!
I'm surprised at the negative reviews. I have been there three times, and have really enjoyed my meal. We always order the meal (feast) for two- four ppl, depending on how many guests we have with us. I find the portions to be very generous, food always fresh, hot and good. Service is great. Atmoshphere is okay- the decor is a little bit outdated, but it's always quiet and not overly crowded. Would be great for take out, more so than dining in if you are hung up on appearances and decor. I will continue to go back there.
This place was overall pretty terrible. It took us two hours to get out of there. The food was pretty good, but it was the service that was terrible. It took 1/2hr to get the bill, after asking for it two times! The staff was really slow and incompetent. It felt like he didn't give us much attention...maybe had to do with our ages...? All in all, don't go here, its a terrible experience and you can get better Indian food elsewhere in Toronto.

Thank you for your feed back.We are a new team that is managing the operations at the Bombay Palace, 71 Jarvis Street since August 2010. May i take this opportunity to welcome you once again at our revived restaurant and assure you that we will WOW you with our new approach to all our patrons. Regards
Food arrived piping hot and was delicious. Wait staff was courteous and professional. Water glass was never empty and the waiter checked on us three times. Really enjoyed the mouth watering chicken which was marinated stupendously and fell off the bone. I am going back.
I don't understand the negative reviews around here. I've been to plenty of good Indian places in Toronto and the food here is very much comparable. Our Chicken Pakoras were made of very good, juicy meat, our Vindaloo was delicious (if spicy), the Naan was good. The staff were very friendly, giving us complimentary Mango Ice-Cream after our hot curry and complimentary Papadum to eat while waiting for food to arrive. Food was hot. Would definitely visit again!
Overlly priced for the quality of food and service given. Food was very cold, not much choice for vegetarians. Service was poor.
Most of the food didn't taste Indian. Among 10-12 dishes they had .. only couple of them were authentic Indian ... and rest of them were just eatable ... Service level was really bad ... the cashier was getting some dishes to buffet table and eating them at the same time ... they don't have least sense of hospitality required for restaurant business .... definitely NOT recommended,
The food was very flavourful, however some of it was cold. But the best part of our meal was that they were out of butter chicken and the owner went in the back and personally made it at no charge. We were all extremely impressed.
Restaurant was uncomfortably warm. Appetizers and dinner didn't taste like any other Indian food we've ever had; instead, it tasted like all of the sauces were ketchup-based. After just a few bites, we had it packed up and donated to a homeless person. Definitely not recommended.

Apart from delivering sumptuous Indian food, this Indian restaurant also provides Torontonians with an option of Tiffin week-long meal services, toting a series of vegetarian and non-vegetarian meals that will last for seven days. The price range is between $49.99 and $74.99, with eager diners stopping by the resto every Tuesday to pick up the prepared, cooked and packed meals.
