While there is always a wait to get a table at Alo, The Bar at Alo is walk-in only. Open at 5 pm, the bar is a great hangout spot to enjoy the atmosphere of the swanky restaurant that was just listed as one of the top eateries in the country. Alo's bar menu includes classic cocktails and contemporary French and Asian inspired snacks. The bar is open until 1 am.
Alo was ranked as the best restaurant in Canada and lucky for us, it’s in Toronto! The restaurant serves a modern take on French cuisine, with some Asian influence. Chef Patrick Kriss’ ingenuity and passion for haute cuisine is infectious, and has customers coming back for more.
Aiming to restore traditional, multi-course meals that inspire conversation, this Queen West restaurant serves up classic French cuisine to downtown dwellers. Set aside at least two hours for one of their two tasting menus, which include four savoury courses and dessert, all with a Parisian flair. In their intimate dining room, you’ll sample fine French flavours in their Quebec foie gras, braised lamb, mouth-watering veal and tangy buttermilk sorbet, along with a few surprises. You may be an ocean away from Paris, but your taste buds won’t know it.
