Come taste an appetizing dish at Fishbowl Restaurant. They are open nightly all week. You can get there by car. The surrounding location is memorable for its parks.
In Timmins there aren't many places that are different from other cities like McDonald's, but the Fishbowl's food is a must try!! Especially their burger!!! We also had their calamari and stuffed mushroom entree and it is the real calamari not the fake rings you get at other places.... The food is fantastic!! If you want something different and not like a fast food joint then this is the place to go. I bring friends and family from out of town to eat there :)

Reading over these reviews just started my mouth watering remembering one of my last visits to the Fishbowl.
I met a gentleman, well known in the mining community to discuss advertising. I was prepared to buy his meal but he only ordered coffee. I on the hand was ravished. I ordered Wild Salmon on special that day and frankly I embarrassed myself.
One was eating.....me, one was not.....my friend, Usually I could pace myself, carrying on a discussion between bites, leaving some aside before cleaning up the plate in deference to my guest.
However, it didn't work out that way ...the food was so declious I couldn't put my fork down. I kept apologizing telling my guest, It was just so good. In fact I never stopped until I had finished the complete meal. Our business took barely ten minutes after that..
I can understand why my friend didn't want to eat at that time ( mid afternoon shortly after getting off his plane from Toronto.) If he had eaten as well, we may never have gotten any business done.
In short the food has always been dependable at the Fish Bowl. They prepare it just as you want it, Serve it hot and with style. However, one objection... if it counts as an objection..... After eating they come by with dessert cart, not a menu... so you can actually see the pastries, cakes and pies. More than most I will select a dessert right there and then. And if I don't ... when I leave the restaurant, I always feel guilty and wonder what I my taste buds have missed!
My sister and her husband from Iroquois Falls come to Timmins aprox once a month and invite me to join them at a local restaurant. She has a delicate constitution and has to be careful of what she eats, particularly restaurant food. When asked which restaurant she would like to go to she always says " The Fishbowl!" Here she can eat as much as she likes!

The food their is absolutly outstanding and this is part of my 5 annual trip to Timmins the only place I take my clients. The management at the fishbowl and the staff in particular are focused an truly understand hospitality. The Fishbowl in Barrie is not as good as the one in Timmins when it come to service. The best restaurant in the city in terms of value and quality in casual dining. HIGHLY RECCOMEND!!
I've went to this restaurant many occasions and the food is never that great. Brought in our own fish cleaned and deboned. They brought us out another fish that was clearly not ours that was full of bones and they refused to pay for our meal and insisted it was the fish that we had brought. Also ordered garlic bread with cheese, and when the waitress came out with the garlic bread there wasnt any cheese and argued with us saying that we didnt order it with cheese.
Had escargot as an appetizer. Was good but WAY too much cheese. That's all you could taste. Ordered a chicken parmesan type spaghetti, and mussels as entrees. Mussels were cold and had to be sent back. Pasta tasted like it had been in the fridge too long. Oh, and we had to pay for bacon bits on our caesar salads. Food not recommended. The service however was very good, and the restaurant itself was beautiful.
