ALTHOUGH NOT THE GREATEST PHO IN THE WORLD THIS PLACE WILL DO WHEN IN NEED OF A PHO FIX ON THE EGLINTON SIDE OF TOWN. WE USUALLY GET THE TRIPE AND BEEF BALL SOUP AND THE RARE BEEF AND CHICKEN (COOKED ) SOUP. BOTH ARE TASTY AND HAVE THE STANDARD PHO SIZE. MY ONLY COMPLAINT WOULD BE THE PRICES. TOO EXPENSIVE FOR SUCH A PORTION.
Nothing special. Expensive menu.
We've been going to family-run Pho Saigon since it opened. Many go for the Pho, but we go for the Bun: rice noodles and salad with your choice of toppings. Our favourites are crispy spring roll, shrimp on sugarcane, grilled Vietnamese sausage, or grilled meats. It makes for a tasty and satisfying meal with a nice contrast of textures. A deliicious Vietnamese coffee, iced in the summer, is a nice finish to the meal. The food is reasonably priced, the service is usually prompt and owners are friendly. Lots of free parking.
First a Fly than a Beetle??? Please... restaurants undergo thoro inspections,,,,, if this was true that restaurant would have been closed long ago..... I have visited this restaurant after reading this review... and they were packed with customers and the food was actually quite decent compared to other Pho restaurants I have been to. PS: this site is for reviews!.... not for "owners of restaurants" to bash other restaurants.
I was very disappointed with there services, the food was extremely salty and when my food finally arrived at the table - i was completely avoided after the fact. The food wasn't even hot, and every time i asked for a refrill, they forgot. I won't be returning to this restaurant
Based on three (3) visits: - Spring rolls are tasty and dense but can tend to seem a little dry - The pho can be flavourful and hearty but had to be sent back on our most recent visit due to the fact that it was unbelievably oily. It also came with an unreasonably small portion of noodles compared to the first two visits. We asked for new bowls of soup (which were fine) and were quickly accommodated. - The service varies from being abrupt and almost standoff-ish to sincerely gracious.
The rice dish is small. Service was okay. My friend asked for soup on the side and no onions: very common request, but neither happened. Tapioca was all stuck together in one large clump in my drink. Pho was good, but nothing special.
Pho is good, not spectacular. Rice dishes are very skimpy. Easy to park. Decor is nice. Service is uneven. Will go back until we find a better place like in Vancouver.
The service was prompt even with a full restaurant. The pho I had was lacking flavour, the meatballs in it tatsted off and were extremly rubbery. Overall it was a quick cheap lunch.
soup is very good. Totally, food is top quality. Service, sometimes late when they are busy.
Service usually very quick unless line up a door. Soups are very good and of consistent quality. Shrimp rolls ( cold wrap ) also quite good. Mango and other fruit shakes with tapioca quite good especially with a hot soup.
I've been here a few times and have found the quality of the food rather inconsistent. The pho broth might be rich and tasty one day and flat the next. Also, the bun bowls, which are typically easy to perfect, fall rather short of expectation. I've stopped coming here for months now.
