I WORK AT IBM. I Eat Here Almost Every Tuesday And Friday. Love The food ..The Service Is Great. DEFINITELY WILL GO AGAIN. I LOVE THEIR SEAFOOD FRIED RICE.
I made the mistake of going back a 2nd time to this place... The food is awful, no taste or flavor... The last time I went there I ordered take out which included pad Thai & chicken fried rice. I got home to find that the rice was burnt, like literally every grain of rice had black marks on it... You do not serve burnt rice to customers, will never return there and I tell everyone who even considers of going there to eat somewhere else... This place doesn't even deserve the one star
I brought my parents out for dinner tonight to make it up to my Dad for missing out on Father's Day dinner. It was an absolute mistake bringing them to Thai One On. It was our first experience at that restaurant, and it will ultimately be our last.
Despite what their official website says, I didn't experience any "Quality/Award Winning food" tonight.
Here were the problems:
- Only 1 server (she got our original order of Fresh Salad Rolls wrong - we got Thai Spring Rolls instead)
- Only 1 cook (?) The wait was quite long, which would have been fine if the food was good and worth waiting for; but it wasn't.
- Pad Thai was disgusting in terms of taste and presentation (brown in colour and it tasted like it was drenched in ketchup sauce). They also used crushed peanuts; authentic Thai dishes would use cashews, not Spanish peanuts.
- Ginger Lamb was the worst dish by far; the presentation was okay, but it was the SALTIEST dish I'd ever had in my life. I was tempted to dilute the sauce with my water, but the meat had been marinated in salt.
We did not finish our food, or pack anything. Even non-authentic Thai restaurants like Spring Rolls are leaps and bounds better than Thai One On. Heck, even McDonald's would have been a better choice. I felt really bad for making my parents endure such a terrible dining experience.
Thai One On? More like Thai it on elsewhere.
Avoid this restaurant.
I went to Thai One on with my friend for dinner...
I went to Thai One on with my friend for dinner. We ordered the 'Breaded shrimp with lychee' When it arrived there wasa HUGE amount of batter on the shrimp, and the batter was raw and wet on the inside (It was gross) When I told the waitress she came back and told me she would not replace it because we had already started eating it - and that she could give us only 10% off - I really felt burned!
Happy eating to everyone!
