Some of the cashiers get really weird about bags. If I ever forget my reusable bags, the cashiers will give me one when asked, no matter how much I bought. I have to beg to get enough to carry my groceries home.
A couple of weeks ago one of the cashiers was telling me that they are running out of bags because of COVID19, so I could only get one and I should buy some reusable bags if I wanted more. My kids were right there with me and they noticed 4 boxes of bags in a shelf by the conveyor belt!
