I went to this company because of their great reviews and I wanted a quality experience and floor.
Their communication is extremely poor. I was astounded at the lack of care for the significant inconveniences, complete lack of communication, and delays I encountered. A quoted one day install spanned 5 total days over two weeks for an approximately 33 square foot area. Nobody ever called me with an update, explanations for the delay, or an apology. HOURIGANS is one of the worst stores I have ever dealt with, for the following reasons:
1) The store sales people are indifferent; no help with floor selection.
2) You can only take home three flooring samples. Very frustrating as I live two hours away!
3) I was told to expect wall damage from laying carpet on my stairs. There was so much damage that have to get a drywaller in. No accountability.
4) At 2 months I still have horrible smell from carpet offgassing. No help from Hourigans.
I would never recommend this company. Terrible workmanship, blame the customer for any issues and do not stand behind their work. First time we have had any issues with a trade and unsatisfactory results that the company refuses to fix. Stay away from this company.
