This salon in the Kitsilano area in Vancouver seems to have pinned down the true definition of hair styling. Often voted as Vancouver’s favourite salon in the ‘Westender’, Hype Hair Studio is cutting its way to success. “We focus on our detailed consultation,” says Caylee Augé, owner, stylist and mentor.
“We provide a styling lesson, then the professional recommendation, so clients can keep their hair beautiful from the day they come in until the day they come back for their next appointment,” she says.

In addition to haircuts, clients can enjoy shampoo and style, up-dos, colouring and luxurious hair-care treatments. “We have a product called ‘easihair’, which is a hair extension service that can be done in 30 minutes,” says Caylee. “We’re just one of two or three salons who carry this. It transforms a look from short to long in a few hours, and people just love these amazing extensions.”
