When he was growing up, Hani Choucair liked to dress up in a fancy suit and help his dad sell clothes. His dad’s clothing store, Paradox, which started in the ‘80s in West Edmonton Mall, carried high end brands and stylish denim. “I was eight years old, telling 40-year old men which dress pants to wear. I loved it,” he says.
After a few different incarnations, the family business still exists, and now, the high-end jean store is in City Centre mall, where Hani, his father, mother and sister still run FlyJeans Co. But Hani is at the forefront — just like his passion for new styles and keeping up with trends. “I’m always watching London and Paris fashion week, always looking to see what’s new. I like to see what’s happening in other parts of the world and with high fashion designers, and bring some of that style and influence to Edmonton,” says Hani.
This is the place to go to find designer jeans from around the world, including G-Star and True Religion jeans. Their downtown Edmonton location is a premium brand destination for lovers of fancy, chic jeans.
