Brent Ciccone lets his love of art guide him. He took over Green Palette Arts in 2009 for very pragmatic reasons. “I needed a place to paint, so I decided to take it on,” he says. This pragmatic approach extends to Brent’s own paintings, which he describes are created in a style that’s “realism bordering on impressionism. Representational, but I like to push colours a bit.” It’s this desire to keep things simple while adding an artistic flourish that makes Brent great at what he does: providing unique art classes and cultivating the creativity of his students.
Green Palette Arts offers art instruction that’s a little looser than other studios. Instructors offer guidance and suggestions as well as basic exercises for beginners, but students of all levels work largely on their own. Sign up for a monthly membership to attend weekly three-hour classes in this inspiring space. Bring your own painting supplies (oil, acrylic or watercolour) and ideas, and make art at your own pace.
