Ohh goodness me, the Ja Jang Myeon (wheat noodles with black soybean paste) is HEAVENLY! After watching sooo many Korean Dramas and seeing all the actors/actresses eating this dish, I was finally able to taste it for myself and it was the most delicious bowl of noodles I have ever eaten! With such a unique taste and texture I basically gobbled and slurped my way down to the very last noodle. With the restaurant having such a family-oriented business feeling to it, it really felt like I was enjoying a home-cooked Korean meal. Fantastic! Read more

I've been to this restaurant more times than I can count. Besides the food being excellent and very inexpensive, the restaurant itself is clean and comfortable. Service is always good and really fast so even if there is a line-up, it moves quickly. The soups are what they are known for and they are a meal and a half for $5.00! I've been to many Vietnamese restaurants and this one is consistently one of my favourites.It's the perfect place to enjoy a steamy bowl of filling soup with meat, dumplings and noodles on a cold winter night. This is the place I go to all the time for dim sum, not only because the location is easy to bus/drive to, the service is always exceptional. The staff is friendly and the dim sum is really good compared to other medium-sized restaurants. I also went to Best Dragon for dinner. I came with a big group of people so we ordered the set menu, which includes the Giant Lobster special, which is the best lobster I've ever eaten (I probably can't go back to small lobsters after this giant fellow) Peking Duck, Chinese vegetables, soup and many more. Best Dragon is definitely a hidden gem in York Region. Again, I cannot emphasize enough about the Giant Lobster!!! It is the best seafood dish I have tried! Read more

I've probably been here 3 or 4 times now. I keep coming back because the service is so good! Not to mention the food is fantastic (the complimentary crunchy soup is to die for). The last time I went, my table got the spider roll, seaweed salad, green dragon roll, spicy salmon roll, and some other roll (I can't remember the name). They were delicious! All was served in a sequential manner; we were served complimentary soup immediately as we sat down, then we ordered, after which we were served complimentary green salad while we waited for our rolls. We were never without food! With all that's included with the rolls, the value is really great. Although it's not too impressive from the outside, the inside is pretty good. It's not fancy, but very laid back. I took my grandmother here for her first sushi experience, and she loved it. I had such good service today, that I had to give these guys some publicity! I often go here for lunch since I work nearby. The Japanese chef is very friendly and welcoming. I've had an incredibly pleasant experience every time just being in this quiet and calm restaurant (although every once in a while it's absolutely full with a lunch crowd!) I like the sushi, salmon nigiri in particular, and their uni is very very good. They don't carry toro at all, by choice. Squid, scallop, hamachi, all great. Rolls are very lovely presented. Everyone I've ever taken with me to this place has enjoyed it, whether they were sushi-addicted like me or just into it once in a while. I'm definetly going back. Read more

This was my first time dining at a Korean restaurant so I was super excited. The place seemed very cozy. I loved the booths and their little curtains. We came here because it is my boyfriend's favourite Korean restaurant. I was very happy with our meal! I love noodles so I got ramyun, which isn't a special or difficult dish but I enjoyed it. The food came out very quickly and at a good temperature. My boyfriend loves their potato appetizer and I adore their sweet peanuts. We also got bulgogi, which was amazing! The portion was large, more than enough for the two of us and there was the perfect amount of sauce. The ladies who work there are nice and efficient as well. My first impression of Korean food was a positive one and I hoped to visit again. On my second time there, we ordered the combo my boyfriend raved about: soup, spicy diced chicken, 5 bottles of beer for $18 and dukboki (a dish I had been wanting to try). Again, the service was fast and the food was hot and tasted amazing. We ordered much more than we could finish so we happily took most of the meal home. I wish I could make a trip back here sooner! The hunan beef and the general tao, could have tatsed more authentic , however both were really good despite not being what I have become acustomed to in other chinese restaurants. Everything else was super especially the Pad Thai (which we ordered with tofu an option not on the menu) and they were happy to do this for us. Not always an easy task (substitution) when it comes to chinese food. They were really generous with the portions everything was busting at the seams, and really friendly thats important too. After reading about Ding Tai Fung in the local newspaper, we tried it this morning with my wife and her parents. And, we were rewarded with excellent dim sum. The menu is a la carte, so everything arrived piping hot and fresh. The deep fried squid tentacles were amazing, perfectly salty & crunchy. Siu Mai was also good, done a little differently with brown rice on top. The green onion pancakes were flavourful, and not too oily. Xiao Long Bao were heavenly, with moist flavourful pork on the inside and perfectly done wrapping. We also ordered steamed vegetable buns, spring rolls, and a sticky rice bun called "si fan" with salty, crispy pork rolled into the inside. The decor is nice, and restaurant seemed very clean overall. Bill was $58 fo 4 adults including tip. I think this is some of the best dim sum in the GTA, and we've eaten extensively from Markham to Scarborough to downtown Chinatown. My parents in law who are from Taiwan and China were also impressed. We'll definitely return! Read more
