I work in customer service, so I understand that things don't always go as planned. It is how an establishment deals with their mistakes that really shows how good they are , in my humble opinion. We go to Swiss Chalet all the time, the food is always hot and delicious and up to the Swiss Chalet Standard, the service is usually pretty good, quick for sure and the restaurant smells good and is clean. We often order take out from this location, and we have had a few problems, orders not being filled correctly, no gravy for the poutine, little things like that. One time we ordered and they called back 30 minutes later to tell us there was a snow storm and the delivery person went home! Needless to say I complained. I got a personal response from the Manager appologizing for our bad experience and comping us for two 1/4 chicken dinners! WOW, I thought that was just great. I get that mistakes are made, but I have never had anyone take responsibility and compensate me so quickly and politely! Since then we have ordered a few times and we haven't had anymore problems. I attend this restaurant regularly mon-fri for the 3.99 breakfast deal and occasionally we go there for the chicken tenders platter for dinner. I love the service but only when Andrea serves myself and my wife, before that we had gone through waitress after waitress getting crapy service and leaving the girls without a tip as they would never come and check on us until it was time to pay, but when we learned we could request the waitress we wanted everything got soooo much better. This girl is on fire! she has a bubbly attitude and knows what you want when you want it. Shes the best waitress any restaurant could ask for and I wish we could clone her for other restaurants. The food is great and we love the french toast!! and OMG the honey dijon mustard is crazy and out of this world!!! order that with the chicken tenders and I swear you will be one happy customer! I have taken my 8 year old daughter there on several occasions for supper. Every time we eat well, are treated well and get to relax and actually enjoy each others company. I love how the staff makes my daughter feel special by remembering her, using her name, actually talking to her and listening to her answers. On top of all that the food is delicious and affordable.
