My wife and I used to dine here more often in the past but I went back recently and was reminded me why we like it so much. The owners, John and Molly are very friendly and make some of the best doubles and vegetarian rotti's that we've ever had.
We mainly go there for the vegetarian cusine.
You won't be disappointed in your meal if you pick it up there. They can take awhile to make sometimes but you get what you wait for. Quality isn't fast.

I came on good friday april 19,2019. I had the new orleans salmon with baked potato with butter and sour cream and rice. Was absolutely amazing taste and cooked perfect. It came with diced tomatoes and cilatro with some shrimp in like a cajun butter sauce. With those delicious biscuits they famous for and i even had a side ceasar salad. If i wasnt actually impressed i wouldn’t come back. I havent been to red lobster for about 10 years but today i was stunned how good it was.

Batter! It seems to be the hardest thing to get right. I've tried places all over the city and for the the upper west side this can't be beat. If in the south east end, try British Style. I can't see how anyone who visits this jewel, hidden in the corner of the plaza, would find any fault at all. I stumbled upon Dennis' little oasis about 5 years ago and it has become a weekly ritual. Jerk chicken is to die for. Ox tail is the best I have ever had for sure and the rice and peas stand up to any carribean resaurant in the GTA for sure. I have moved to Calgary and put my family as 1A and the Jerk Pit as 1B as things I miss the most. No Caribbean restaurant out here even compares.

We decided to go to McNies on a Saturday for lunch. We were greated by a very pleasant woman who would be our server. Our food arrived quickly and was great, the fish was nicely battered (not too heavily battered but not skimpy either). The service was also great, my boyfriend decided to get extra fries with his meal and our server told the kitchen to start them while we were eating so that when he was ready to eat them they would still be warm.
