I am 72 yr. old lady A&W is my favorite hamburger place. I miss the old A&W song. EVERY restaurant I go to I sing it to the employees. I know it by heart. They say they have never heard it before and love it. I remember in the 60s as a teen how they would bring your order on a tray on roller skates and hang the tray on the side of your car. I recently visited this (new?) location with my friends and much to my joy the service was cool and attractive and the server was attentive... In other words, very good!! The food was good to above average and well cooked! tasty Chicken, and I special ordered melting cheese. Being a fan of inventive food, I will probably return to this location just for that but would definitely take a drive here also to satisfy my appetite for eye candy. We hit Black Forg last night before the Lions game and loved their vibe. The atrium that provides over half of the seating is ideally situated at the foot of Cambie Street to provide views of the North Shore and the workd going by on Water Street. They offer a great selection of draught and bottled beer and offered a take on a Snake Bite that they should put on the menu and call the Black Frog...who knew that adding Ribena would taste so good! The wings that were hotter than hot were exactly as advertised and really tasty! The only concerns we had were with the mains we had. The steak sandwich was a bit tough to chew as a sandwich but went better when I ate it open faced. The curry and chips were kind of bland and would probably be better as an Indian curry than a Thai curry. We will try other items on our next visit. Our concerns on the food aside, we will be back because it was such a great little spot. Head over to the Black Frog next time you're looking for a fun spot to chill! Read more

The restaurant was near the hotel, and a friend of mine recommended us to go, so we did. First, we were a big party, but we didn't had to wait for a table. Service wasn't bad, but there are things that i would change, the waitress refilled every drink when she wanted without asking and without saying that the refill wasn't free. Over to the food, it was well cooked, as ordered, tasty and it was worth the price, the amounts where for grown up adults, not for kids like in most places. As we where a big party, the only table that was available for us, was at the bar, but the ambience was good, the music level was bearable. Read more
