Montreal restaurants for a girls’ night out

There are few things more enjoyable than a night out with the ladies. We had the chance to chat with Quebec singer Sally Folk and get her top picks for where to hang out with her girlfriends in Montreal. Here’s what she had to tell us. [Image credit: iStock.com/monkeybusinessimages]

Les Iles En Ville

1
5335, rue Wellington, Verdun, QC H4H 1N3

This spot is perfect for when you’re in need of a change of scenery. The menu, as well as the ambiance, is inspired by les Îles-de-la-Madeleines. The team here is fabulous and very friendly.

Ste-Cunegonde Drinkery

2
2661, rue Notre-Dame O, Montréal, QC H3J 1N9

La Drinkerie is for those happy hours that don’t end until the wee hours of the morning. I also have a soft spot for the DJ on Thursday evenings – DJ Wordy Word. Come by at any hour, and find a casual, young professional crowd. A small appetizer menu is available, as are some main dishes.

Bar A Tapas Tapeo

3
511 Rue Villeray, Montréal, QC H2R 1H5

I went to the opening to this small tapas restaurant a few years ago and I’ve been back a number of times with my girlfriends – it’s always a good time! A must-try in Villeray.

Chez Boss & Fils

4
3610, rue Wellington, Verdun, QC H4G 1T6

I’m so happy I discovered this hip new restaurant in Verdun. The owners are very nice and provide excellent service that will make your night that much better. Not to be missed!

Grinder

5
1708 rue Notre-Dame O, Montréal, QC H3J 1M3

Grinder is hopping from the 5 à 7 to the end of the evening, and especially after a Habs game. They have a beautiful terrace.

Le Bateau Mouche

6
55 rue Saint-Paul O, Montréal, QC H2Y 1Z1

Try Bateau-Mouche for a lovely summer evening cruise in the Old Port of Montreal – close your eyes and you’re on vacation! The top-notch personnel and service make the evening even more special.
