Vice-president and co-founder Nick Iverson has a relaxed demeanor, an extension of the gorgeous space that is La Commune, a co-working space in the Old Port. The loft space has a quiet buzz going, with small businesses and freelancers working on their projects. With exposed brick walls, large tables, closed rooms for private meetings and plenty of natural light, it’s the perfect place for teams to share ideas and create in a calm and relaxing atmosphere.
“La Commune has to do with community-building and getting people to work together,” Nick explains. He worked as a freelancer for 13 years (12 from home) and found the co-working space model online from Europe. He and a couple friends decided to start one here in Montreal. “We basically wanted to work with people and get out of the house!”
