A one-of-a-kind retail experience in Montreal, Boutique Kitsch’n Swell is like stepping into an alternate universe where 50s Rockabilly culture sits comfortably next to taxidermy and your grandmother’s décor — when she was hip. It's the kind of place where the modern-day pin-up girl will find her fix. “A lot of people tell me that they’ve never seen a place quite like this — but in a magical way,” explains owner Karine Gauthier. “It’s a curio cabinet where the décor is neither goth nor morbid, but feminine and tastefully curated.”
Customers of the boutique can just as easily find honest-to-goodness reproductions of 50s clothing as they can the perfect vintage accessory or a (real) stuffed animal.
Boutique unique et charmante !! Un mélange improbable entre des curiosités de choix et des vêtement d'inspirations vintages et des accessoires authentiques et luxueux ! à voir et revoir!!
If you like rockabilly and the 1950s, you’ll be well served at Kitsch 'n Swell. We love their lingerie section, which offers vintage underwear (unworn, of course). The shop also sells colourful decor items from the 1940s and 1950s that are decidedly kitsch.
If you’re a fan of the ’60s and ’70s, then you’ll enjoy going back in time at Kitsch ’n Swell on Saint-Laurent. You can find anything vintage from clothing, accessories and décor. If you love Elvis records, animal prints and beaded jewelry, then you should definitely check this place out.
