"People are increasingly realizing that the way they eat, and what they eat, has an impact on not only themselves but on the planet as a whole,” says Danielle Levy, who specializes in plant-based holistic nutrition. She herself realized this at a young age, when she became interested in food production. After educating herself as to where food comes from she switched to a plant-based diet. ”I saw huge changes, both in myself and in the digestive problems I had at the time,” she adds.
These changes motivated her to study nutrition. A native Montrealer, Danielle is a graduate of California-based Bauman College, as well as of the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition, both institutions that specialize in holistic nutrition. ”I then lived and worked in Thailand, Australia and Toronto, and came back to Montreal to establish my practice in 2011.”
With information flowing more freely than ever and consumers increasingly caring about their food’s source, quality, impact and how it’s grown, it is no wonder that many seek help in adopting more sustainable ways of consumption.
