We celebrated a surprise party in the back room today, and it was Terrific! Food was great..hot and tasty with a good variety from their party menu.The waitresses were right on top of everything, even though they were working the front room as well. A special thanks to Kayla for helping organize and choose options for me. Everything went smoothly thanks to her amazing attention to detail, constantly friendly attitude and energy, energy, energy!Thanks so very Much!
Not a bad place but don't expect any technology.. they hardly ever have any internet or wi-fi access.. or when they do, the baud rate is slower than snail mail; really behind the times!
I have never had a bad time their. The whole staff makes you feel welcome and the food is simply the best I've had at a local pub. I live in burlington and try to stop in every time I'm in Waterdown.
mature crowd and the foods pretty good. the place has been around for a long time and it shows. its pretty dark and dingy inside but it sets a kind of cozy feel. we had one middle aged server that was just rude to us and made us wait so that she could serve another table (they appeared to be her friends and chatted with them for a while) before us. definitely go back if she isnt working.
I was here on a saturday, early afternoon with a few friends, we went for breakfast and ended up ordering from the lunch menu instead.
The food was good, the atmosphere was kinda grungy and it was full of much older people (regulars), and It wasnt all that clean. It has potential if it were decorated or set up a little differently. I sensed a little attitutde from the waitress and wasn't pleased all that much with the waitress.
would probably go back if I was influenced by others but I've lived in Waterdown 25 years and this was the first time I'd stepped foot in the parking lot, let alone the restaurant, so that should say it all.
The American House is a landmark in Waterdown and has been known for good food but I always thought of it as a bar/pub. Even though it looks the same on the outside it now houses perhaps the best restaurant in town. Anyone would enjoy it. Friends for dinner, a business lunch or taking your parents out on the weekend. all the food is immaginative and freshly prepared. after I went once I think of it every time i need to find a restaurant in Waterdown.
