“When I was a little girl, I remember seeing a photograph of a beautiful wedding dress in a magazine,” says Irene Eftrin of Irene’s Studio. “I decided then and there that I would love to make a dress like that one day. Today I am doing just that, so it’s like a dream come true.”
It isn’t solely wedding attire that Irene crafts with her needles and thread, laces and satin. She also makes outfits for the mother of the bride, proms, anniversaries and other special events as well as fitting and altering men’s suits. Plus, she does soft furnishings to help give your home a fashionable new lease on life. “I get home at midnight sometimes,” she says, “but I don’t feel tired because I love what I do.” In the winter, Irene has three staff members helping her at her Bayview studio while in the summer, she needs five extra pairs of hands to keep up with demand.
I've recently shed 50 lbs. i thought i would have to get a whole new wardrobe to go with my new figure, until a friend of mine recommended i go to Irene's. she's done such a wonderful job, i cant convey my thanks into words. she is very professional and has a great eye for fashion. i had high end designer clothing that had many small delicate details, after a trip to Irene's my clothes never looked better. as a matter of fact, i like it more now then when i first bought it.

We are really upset, not to mention the bride! The work that was done on her dress is a disaster. The wedding is in 3 days and we are not sure if the dress can even be fixed. We found the service rushed and it was not until she got home with the dress that we realized the horrible alteration job that was done.
