When Oshawa Jewellery Inc. first opened its doors in 1983, Rachel Berdugo’s dream was coming true. Although space was limited, after years of selling jewellery out of suitcases at the flea market, she finally had her first permanent location in downtown Oshawa.
“I’ve always wanted to work with diamonds,” says Rachel with a passionate smile. From day one Rachel felt that everyone should be able to wear beautiful jewellery. Her determination to bring affordable, quality jewellery to her customers made her small store a hit. In no time she needed a bigger location.
In 1992 Oshawa Jewellery moved to the Oshawa Centre. While the size of the store has changed, the mandate remains the same; to provide Oshawa and surrounding areas with the best jewellery shopping experience possible. Rachel and her team offered the most outstanding customer service today. Not only did they take their time to make sure the sizing was going to be the best solution for me for my own ring, when she heard the second ring I was sizing was for my daughter's birthday, she put a rush on the job so that I would have the ring in time for her birthday!!
Rachel answered all my questions and her team took their time making sure that I was well taken care of. Bravo!
