It’s no wonder Peter DiVincenzo's current restaurant venture is a big success – Habanero Taqueria is just the latest in a string of jobs that goes all the way back to Peter’s first part-time restaurant gig at the age of 16.
“I’ve never worked anywhere but in the food business. Never! I have to admit it's hard work, but I love it,” says Peter, whose popular burrito joint has Oakvillians abuzz about the friendly service and fresh, tasty food.
Over the years, Peter has worn many hats: he has cleaned, served, tended bar, cooked and been in management; he’s owned snack bars, restaurants and pubs; and his establishments have been located in Toronto, Windsor and, now, Oakville. No matter where he worked, or what role he filled, Peter’s strong work ethic and drive to make things as perfect as possible has been part of the equation, and he credits these traits as the secret to his ongoing successes.
