Laurie holds a Masters Degree from Wayne State University, in Social Work and is a Social Worker and Psychotherapist in good standing with the College and the Ontario Association of Social Workers and the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (pending). . Laurie also holds an Honours B.A. in Drama In Education as well as a teaching degree in Dramatic Arts and is a Certified Addiction Counsellor. Laurie is certified in Montessori Methods for Alzheimer’s and Dementia, developed by Maria Montessori, the first female physician in Italy, and adapted for people with Alzheimer’s and Dementia by Dr. Jeremy Camp. Laurie is also a certified Laughter Yoga Leader and is available to facilitate your group laugh-a-thon!
