Great food and the service is very entertaining .
I love this place! I probably go at least 2 times a month. I've been to the Port Credit location as well as the one in Brampton, and the Dundas location in Mississauga is by far the best. The service is friendly, there's more seating and the wait time is much shorter than the other locations, although I usually call my order in ahead to avoid the wait. I usually get the veggie soy burrito or the bean and cheese burrito. Both are awesome, but the veggie soy one has a bit more texture. There's tons of topping choices and they're always fresh. Be careful about their XXX hot sauce - it really packs a punch.
Decided to try the 19 Dundas st. BurritoBoyz location this time for lunch as I’ve been to the one on Lakeshore and it was quite good there. I ordered the steak burrito. It was busy there which is normal as I find they all tend to be busy there normally. The staff was pleasant and I didn’t have to wait too long before I got my order. That all changed when I bit into it. From the start I noticed that there was something odd about its taste and smell. I couldn’t put my finger on it, it was almost like an odour of old socks, or as if something was wrong with the meat. It really started bothering me so I started searching through the burrito. I found a long piece of steak (Which didn’t look like steak at first) that was completely black on one side. It smelt so bad and was so burnt that it came apart as soot on my fingers and that smelly soot was now throughout the burrito. Looks like they severely burnt that batch and instead of throwing it out, just continued to sell it. Horrible experience, I will never order from this location again. Oh and they also got my friends order wrong.
Although there is always a line spilling out the door at the Port Credit location, I find the food is overrated. The main problem I have with it is that they use minced chicken, instead of shredded, and the meat itself is very bland tasting. Despite the blandness, it is edible. Everything else, portion size, fresh toppings, sauce, and option of having whole wheat tortilla, location are GREAT! Upon my visit to the new location which has waaay more dining space, I ordered the steak burrito after confirming that minced chicken is used. Instead of a chopped up "steak", the meat was just like minced beef, but gristly, and still bland. I'm guessing that less prep work is involved with the minced meat. It's faster to cook, plus it's cheaper. I just wish that there was some flavour in the meat itself!
