Enjoyed it every time I have gone. The food was hot and tasted fresh. Will be going back soon but we also enjoy the take out and delivery. Thank you.
Manchuria Garden is one of the places my wife and I go once in a while when we don't feel like cooking and don't want to spend too much money. We usually hit the lunch buffet because it's cheaper. The restaurant itself is actually kinda neat. It's a little bit retro, but it's definitely unique. For the price, I have no complaints. The food is pretty much what you'd expect from from your average Chinese-American restaurant. The typical options are there and the selection is pretty decent. Most of them are of average quality or above, but few are spectacular. You probably won't be blown away, but you won't be disappointed either.
Went here recently with a friend for lunch, as he loves the lunch buffet. I'm not really one for buffet style dining, as I feel like a big fat slovenly fool lining up like pigs at a trough. I also hate over eating and that is essentially the only reason you'd pay $15 for a lunch buffet. Anyway, the place looks like sort of old Chinese palace on the outside (though it looks quite weathered). Inside, it is spacious and open, with many dining tables in a few different rooms. Quite a dated decorum overall, I felt like I was in an 80's movie. Our waitress was very friendly, attentive, and had removed dirty plates promptly when we went to refuel. The food was slightly above average. I find that food at these buffet style places all tastes the same, and there was nothing out of the ordinary here to make it stand out. Just tasty and hot American-Chinese styled food. One good thing was that there were a lot of options for a lunch buffet, and for $15.00, you could really get carried away if you wanted, so the value is good.Overall, if a friend asked to go again, I'd likely say yes, though I'd never choose a buffet myself.
I'm not really a buffet person. So, most of the time I come here, it is for take out. I've always been pleased with the take out service and prices. The food is always very nice and hot. I've had the buffet here a few times. It seems to be hit and miss, if you come in during the busy hours or when the buffet is open, the food is really nice and fresh. And there is a pretty big selection. The only bad experiences I've had here are the times I've gone in near their buffet closing time. I'm going to assume that most of the negative reviewers had the same experience. The food wasn't really replenished as often as I'd liked, but the chef was kind enough to prepare the items I asked for. The food overall is a good value, it isn't the best out there, but the lower price for the buffet makes it very reasonable. The atmosphere is comfortable. The service is friendly, this is a buffet, so you don't really have much to talk about in this department.
We began dining at the Manchuria Garden about four years ago when we lived out of town and needed a place to take the children and grandchildren when we were visiting. We have been back many times because the kids love it, and the food is good enough to ensure return trips to the buffet. The fare isn't five-star by any means but neither are the prices. It's good value for the money -- and a stress-free way to entertain the family.
The buffet is always cold. The chinese food in the mall tastes better than this. The service was poor. The food is greasy and not replenished very often.
This was a very dead night and we were 2 of the 8 guests in the entire restaurant. As a result there was absolutely no fresh food prepared for the hour we were there. Coincidentally the food we were consuming were cold and the taste was sub-par. As they ran out of a dish nothing was replenished. Won't return...
Very good food, not much service required except for clearing plates because it is a buffet. Loved all of the Asian dishes. Will return again.
My Wife & I went for dinner at this Restaurant. Salads were great, with shrimp, tuna salad, crab salad, this was the best part, for the main course, disappointment big time There's no seafood at all!!!The fried shrimp are tasteless, the crab with broccoli was awful, steak was tasteless, the only item that I liked was sweet honey chicken.Desert, I didn't care for it as well, the cakes were rubber and no taste at all, except for the rice pudding. As for the service, it was not friendly at all, the server could use some friendliness and pay a close attention to his customers, I even had to stand up and ask him to refil my water and a tiny Iced tea that you pay for, he had the guts to tell me when I asked him for refill that I had to pay for it!! What kind of Buffet is this??I have been to Buffets all over the world from Las Vegas to Windsor Casino, it was the best, but I have never seen anything like this and wouldn't recommend this place to anyone!
A great restaurant and lovely atmosphere. Staff and management are always courteous and eager to serve. The food is always fresh and delicious. I especially like the fact that the food does not contain high contents of MSG. Let's face it - it's not necessary if the food is great. It won't sit for long. As for the decor it is clean, but I agree with another comment when they said that it needs to be updated. Particularly if The Manchuria Garden wants to keep up with their competition. Presentation says an awful lot. Just the same I'd rather eat at The manchuria Garden than any other Chinese Buffet location. It's my favourite!! I'll definately be back with my friends and family.
This is a good restaurant but they BADLY need to put some money into their bathrooms which are so old and disgusting looking. They also really need to reupholster the chairs and booths - just dirty and old.
The food was absolutely amazing I would recommend this restaurant to anybody that Likes good for and Good service
