The congregation of First Baptist Church has been serving Listowel since 1886. We give a Baptist expression of worship and practice as we express a strong sense of corporate ministry to our community and throughout the world.We join with others to do together what we cannot do on our own. We have always sought to be a blessing to Listowel and serve with other Christian congregations in our community. In order to extend our reach beyond Listowel, we have sought association. This has led us to affiliate with Owen Sound Association of Baptist Churches (OSA). Through the OSA we are affiliated with Canadian Baptists of Ontario and Quebec (CBOQ) and through CBOQ to Canadian Baptist Ministries (CBM).
