Extremely bad services.
Had one drink and we had to leave.
The waitress made unfounded accusations after we shared one drink quietly enjoying each other's company
The waitress accused the lady of the party having too much to drink
The man from the party that is from upper management in the food industry politely requested the manager's assistance and the manager knowingly acknowledging that no one was allibreated still refused to go against the waitress' bad judgement.

Food is always incredible, atmosphere is excellent, and the service is great. Of course the pizza is good, but it's the other items on the menu that keep us going back there all the time. The Kai Mekong dish is one of the best meals you'll find anywhere!
One of the best casual/fancy restaurants in town, make a reservation though. Great caesar salad, specials are always interesting, good pizza.
Have taken a few things off the menu that I really liked - smoked chicken crepe with lobster sauce (put it back on!)
Well let me tell you, we've been wanting to try this place for... FOREVER!
We finally get to it, and I can't even say enough good things about it. The food was incredible, quick and very well priced. The general atmosphere was beautiful, but the old brick and stone walls downtown Kingston really lend themselves to create a nice feel here overall.
If I can say anything bad about Wooden Heads, its the fact this place should be 10x its size, maybe kick Zappa's out next door because I can't get into Wooden Heads fast enough on any given night.... It needs more real estate...!! What a place.. I recommend it for anyone, anytime, all the time!..

I had the jerk chicken and it was very good - especially the fries that came with it. Also had the coconut shrimp for appetizer. Good to share with another person. Very tasty.
Tasted the pizza that my husband ordered - looked very plain, thin and also tasted pretty plain. They are known for their pizza so perhaps if I ordered a pizza of my own I will have a better sense.

Yes it can be a bit loud, if you can get in without reservations. But keep trying, your taste buds will thank you. Okay since I have tries almost everything on the menu here a some fav's . Tiziana pizza (add fresh basil/roasted garlic and scallops), pollo stagione (salad), If they have smoked DUCK get it!!!, for apps try the lumpia diavolo or calamari but they are all great. minestrone soup is #1 for desert strawberry lasgne and for a after dinner drink KnickerBocker . Great place almost first on my list when in kingston.!!!!
Wooden Heads is definently an upscale Pizza . Its a tuff place to get a seat on Friday or Saturday night, and delivery is hard to come by...
Crust: B+ (I like more chew then crunch in my thin crust)
Sauce: A (good selection of sauces to make your own pizza
Cheese: B+ (a good seletion of Cheese for all your pizza needs)
Toppings A (like i said the mushroom lover in me is happy)
After several visits despite my protests over the last 2 years, my opinion is that this establishment serves the driest, most unappetizing pizza I have ever eaten. The servers have consistently been slow (and I mean that in more than one way) and the noise volume is a barrier to any decent conversation. Don't break your neck trying to get down to the washrooms! I have no clue why anyone would recommend this place.
I find that everytime I come here to eat I better have booked off my whole night because Its about a 4 hour process. When you order drinks they take about 20 minutes to come, not to mention it take another 20 for the server to even find you. I think the ladies that work there are ---- confused ( to be nice). If it wasnt for the fantastic food I would not be going back. Its mostly take out now.
Woodenheads is BY FAR the best restaurant I've ever been to. The Food is Amazing, the service is Excellent and it doesn't hurt that the Servers are Gorgeous either.

I've worked in this industry for years and I'm a self-proclaimed "high maintenance" customer but I am happy to pay for good service and honestly this was the best dinning experience I've ever had.
-Waitress was quick to recommend dishes based on specific preferences
-Drinks, constantly being topped off/replaced and dirty plates quickly removed.
Overall our server was very friendly, attentative and even entertaining! And the food is the best you'll ever have (order the server's suggestions)
The servers make you feel rushed as they are trying to get the next customers in. Tables are very close together, not alot of room. Can be very loud at times. Food was very good, and fresh. Well priced.
Was in Kingston for a fishing weekend. Tried a few restaurants, and this was certainly the best. Great ambience, delicious menu, great wine (try the herminia)and fantastic and entertaining service.

just a comment on someone else's small complaint about service on the back patio. did you notice that they have to write the order out by hand and do calculations for it? there is no computer back there so they have to write everything out by hand for the orders to go in and for the bill. probably why it took longer for the bill especially when you get separate checks. they say it's because there is only one computer but why not spring for another one...? hmmm sounds sneaky to me.
and the deserts are made to order so they take a bit of time as well, but well worth it.

Our server destroyed what could have been a very enjoyable evening. We were treated disgracefully. She was unintelligent. She was unsure about questions we had and didn't even offer to find answers. And when asking about the special she told us to walk down the stairs and read the board. We went there hoping to get a seat in a friend's section because she was working and couldn't join us. But... we won't be going back any time soon.
