We have had Sunday breakfast at Grammas for several years regularly and are heartbroken that they are not in business right now. Our great hope is that they will reopen sooooooooon.
Although I love to visit small diner type restaurants (one of my favourites is Donut Diner), I did not enjoy my experience at this restaurant. At first glance, there were mismatched, cracked chairs at tables that were not clean. My first thought was that maybe it'd be like one of the small town restaurants I've visited, and that the food would still be to die for. However, there was food all over the floor, and dirt as well. I ordered a grilled cheese and fries, which normally you can't go wrong with. However, once the food came, the grilled cheese was smaller than one I'd make at home and not very good. The fries were obviously McCain frozen fries (or close to it). The club house sandwhich, which my mother had ordered, had bacon on it that was grey and purplish. The turkey still had skin on it, and also did not appear to be fully cooked. The tomatoes were also disgusting. Basically, the only thing she enjoyed was the bread. The plates were old and plastic and reminded me of ones I had when I was a kid. The waitress was friendly, but barely interacted with us, and did not even know what kind of fish they served. One good thing about this place was the price. It cost only 20 dollars for two people. I have also heard good things about the breakfast there, so perhaps it was the time that I had caught them at. However, given my experience I will not return.

Kinda reminds me of the small town restaurant you always see on TV. Family run, very homey, really fast service, friendly. Makes you want to go back again.
VERY laid back..sometimes get yur own coffee....VERY VERY busy on weekends...friendly..altho odd service sometimes..but hey..it's family run..and most families are odd....it's like eating at home...yup...yur told to wait sometimes...lol
