Food was great, had the fajitas. Huge portion, went home full and satisfied .
We had to leave the restaurant because there was a food in my son' s hand. Their approach was very rude and thougthless.
Very poor quality food! My wife and I both ordered the French onion soup, it was barely lukewarm when brought to the table. Waitress took it back put it in the microwave and returned it. It was now hot, but the broth tasted like vinegar. My wife ordered the hot turkey sandwich, which the menu says is all white meat, it was more than half dark meat, with bits of skin and fat. I ordered the chicken parmesan, it wasn't bad other than the chicken tasted like fish, fried in the same oil?
This was our third visit to this restaurant - our first experience was not great but the next two visits were very good. Pasta is first rate, sauces are very tasty, (I had the pasta carbonera my wife had spaghetti). Prices are reasonable, decor is appropriate and the service is friendly and prompt. I'd recommend this place to any and all who are looking for a low-priced good Italian dinner.
As always, a great place for lunch when you want a good homemade bowl of soup and a sandwich Always have another special beside Soup and Sandwich which is well priced and something different
Two of the party of seven arrived at 5:30 and had to wait to be seated, even though reservations were made. The rest of the party came 5 minutes later...we sat for 55 minutes before our drink order was taken and then our dinner order wasn't taken for at least 20 minutes after that - no bread basket was served until we specifically requested one since our meal was taking so long to be served. At 6:50, wee were told our dinners would be out in ten minutes - it took 20 minutes...while our dinners tasted fine, we were pressed for time...we told out waitress that one of us was paying for a baby sitter and had to be home at a certain time...we did not have time to stay for coffee or dessert. Our waitress asked if she shoud start working on our bills, we said 'yes'' and they did not come. Also, one of us asked for her meal to be packaged to take home and it was not brought back to the table. Finally some time later, we all stood up and our waitress said to just come thru to the cash where she punched in our meals there and we were then told that the packaged up meal was waiting at the cash! It was not offered to us, and we had to, again, ask for it. We did notice that some other customers who arrived after us were served before us. All in all, not a very pleasant experience and will not be recommended to friends.
Very, very tasty pork liver with sautéed veggies, onion and rice; Reuben sandwich with raspberry vinaigrette salad and chocolate-raspberry cheesecake.Great atmosphere, great server, lovely place in a lovely area. Cannot wait to go back!!!
Excellent eatery. Excellent food, service and fair prices. Have now found a restaurant in Gananoque to visit on our trips to the Casino.
We're Pennsylvanians who greatly enjoy the Canadian side of the Thousand Islands summer or winter, and have grown fond of Anthony's over the past few years. Their pasta dishes are splendid and steaks imaginatively prepared. We discovered Poutine there and wish we could get it here.) The wait staff is always very pleaant (in fact we find Canadians generally nicer than most people we come in contact with) and the restaurant facility just right. Gananoque is a lovely town and Anthony's makes our time there even more special.
