Home furnishings can often bring about that quiet moment we all enjoy. The sights and sounds in our homes. A favourite vase, a photograph, a song on the radio all can serve to bring a sense of peace.
Now, in the quaint country village of Feversham, Ontario the opportunity for that moment awaits.
Through the miracle of renovation a maintenance building has been transformed into a lovely retreat from everyday living. Entering Home Accents Emporium is akin to finding yourself in your own favourite place with all your favourite things. Gone are the machines of yesteryear to be replaced by treasures to make your home an even more welcoming place to come home to.
You will be greeted by either Kent Hudson or Gerry Littlejohn who will lead you through the carefully curated selection of home decorating ideas while you sip your tea or coffee, possibly on the lovely adjacent deck overlooking the Feversham Gorge.New to the small town of Feversham is the delightful storefront of Home Accents Emporium, a unique home décor and giftware store. Owned and operated by Kent Hudson, Home Accents moved to Grey Highlands from Oakville in October. “I retired in 2013 and closed the Oakville location to move back to my original country home,” explains Kent. Retirement is not for the faint of heart and not two weeks into his new adventure Kent decided to open shop in Feversham. “It was quite an undertaking to convert our location into a retail shop,” adds Kent. Previously the store had functioned as a truck bay for his father’s milling business. Opening the new location was no leap for Kent, who has spent a career of 40 years designing and constructing retail stores across North America.
Keep an eye out this fall for his small café opening adjacent to Home Accents Emporium.more...See more text
