ER service ranges from good to so-so. There have been medication errors, incorrect chart info. and I've seen seen staff cough into their hands and not use sanitizer afterwards!
I have a documented chronic illness which some docs say isn't responsible for my symptoms...so I have to think twice before going. (I'd been living in Scarborough for 4 years and had great to excellent service at both Scar. Gen. sites.)
Most staff ARE nice and facilities have improved but, overall, prefer elsewhere.
During a recent surgery at TEGH my experience with staff, both in the hospital in general and specifically, was indeed a very positive one from start to finish. The doctors, nurses and others treated my husband and me respectfully and professionally, even as I had a very dramatic reaction to the drugs I was given and went "berserk". They never made me feel foolish or crazy. THANKS again to the staff on the 5th floor. In response to the negative reviews, look beyond at what really counts.
