not only did they not show up when we ordered a taxi to take us to vgh last week but I watched a driver sit in his cab on w broadway blocking the bus lane for five minutes today waiting for a very crippled man while he struggled to get into the backseat and was unable to close the door.I walked up myself and assisted the man get his feet in and closed the door, all while this lazy, useless driver sat watching. What shameful behavior!! Are these the low standards of yellow cab employees?
I had pre-booked a wheelchair taxi to pick up my dad after he attended my sisters wedding ceremony in Vancouver. After waiting for 20 minutes past the pick-up time with no phone call or e-mail message, I tried calling their number to ask where the taxi was. I finally got through to dispatch 10 minutes later, and all he said was that it was bad weather and they were busy. What is the point of pre-booking, if it cannot show up at the right time?
Do not use this cab; it will be late, and all customer service reps you interact with will be rude/indifferent to you.
Had a quick ride to YVR but when I payed the fare with Visa card, it seems I entered a tip of 34.00. The fare was 34.00 I am sure the amount I entered 5.00 for the "tip" which would be more appropriate. Not sure how the tip got to 34.00 afterwards. I should have done a better job at checking my receipt. Should I have expected a little more honesty from the driver?? I think so. Could he have questioned the tip amount?? I think so. Will I take another Yellow Cab anywhere?? I don`t think so.
