Destination Auto Group started as part of the Northshore/Kingsway Auto Family with the founding of Jubilee Plymouth Chrysler and Northshore Nissan in 1983. In 1987 we expanded by acquiring Kingsway Honda, Toyota and Mazda from Bill Docksteader, and finally University Toyota in 1991. Our name later changed to Regency Auto Group and finally Destination Auto Group in 2003. This was my first experience with purchasing a used car it was the worst thing I ever did..... It all started when I picked up the car 3 days after I put the deposit on it. I had very bad service, the guy I purchased the car from was supposed to give me a walk around with the car but did not, he instead slid the keys at me and that was that. Then when I got in the car there were an extra 50Km put on the car when I asked the dealer about it they could not give me an explanation at this point I should have left the car there but I did not.... As I drove off the clutch was squeaking. I dropped off the car the next day to have the clutch looked at, which it was somewhat fixed (since then the car has been in the shop 3 times re: the clutch and the issue is still ongoing, meaning it still squeaks now and then). After all of this I called the Manager of the dealership he said that he would pay my first service bill. Ended up he gave my $49 towards my $200 bill.
I would not recommend this place to anyone.
I've always enjoyed driving my Hyundai with one small issue. To get service at a Hyundai dealership I had to drive to Richmond or North Van. Enter Destination Hyundai. Opening within the last year I was so happy to hear that there was finally an option to get my Hyundai serviced in the city. With a convenient location near 12th and Kingsway they are easy to get to and I think I was their first customer for the service department! This didn't stop them from offering top-notch service and taking care of all my service needs in an expert and professional fashion. And the service didn't stop with my car! I needed a lift just outside of their normal drop off zone for their courtesy shuttle and the immediate response was "No problem!" for both the drop-off and the pick-up.
