Daniel Witt knows a thing or two about overcoming obstacles in life. The Grand Master and owner of Pacific Coast Taekwondo started practicing martial arts at the age of 19.
"I started because I wanted to learn how to defend myself," he recalls. "I was a problem child, a rebel, living on my own by the age of 16." After marriage at a young age, he found himself the single father of two children, one diagnosed with Asperger's syndrome.
After working as a technician for 15 years, Daniel decided to open a martial arts school. "I wanted a different opportunity,” he explains. “Sadly, my own children were being exposed to some difficult times, but being engaged with my kids led to me being more engaged with other peoples' kids."
