    Incompetent/poor customer service

    Over 5 months ago, we took a watch to Goldworks to be repaired. They've had it most of that time as every time we got it back it stopped again within a few days. While in their care, they managed to break both the watch strap and the crystal. We picked it up a couple of days ago and it still does not work. Their repair service is incompetent and customer service is rude and patronizing.

    Terrible workmanship

    I took my fiance's late father's wedding ring to Goldworks in Airdrie to have white gold added to use it as his wedding band. When the ring was done it looked absolutely terrible - you could see all the soldering marks on the outside and inside of the ring and one side of the ring was wider than the other. I took it to another goldsmith and they were even more appalled than I was. When I took it back, they tried to justify the work and then offered to make it right - I was not comfortable with this and they agreed to take the white gold off and refund my money. They did take the white gold off and refunded most of money - insisting that I must pay $60.00 for the resizing - and thought I was crazy for thinking I should not have to pay for this. I gave up and left the store with my partial refund - only to determine that the sizing was actually wrong - a quarter inch too small ... A terrible and emotional experience - to take something so special and do such a horrendous job to it was baffling to me. I do not recommend going to Goldworks in Airdrie and if you do I certainly hope you do not have the experience we did.
